Tomorrow We Sail

Tomorrow We Sail are a 7-piece Leeds/Sheffield-based band, formed in early 2009, and taking influence from music as divergent as folk, classical ambience and slowcore. Their combination of atmospheric soundscapes, haunting folk harmonies and almost classical orchestration has drawn comparisons with bands such as Sigur Ros, Thee Silver Mount Zion and Gregor Samsa.

Their debut single 'The White Rose' is out on November 28th on limited edition CD and download.

"A British Folk Sigur Ros"

Leeds Music Scene, Live Review, May 2011

"Their debut EP, 'The Common Fire' is an incredibly peaceful listen with undertones of darkness and fragility"

The Music Journal, Review of The Common Fire EP, March 2011

"There's a post-folk-rock scene that Tomorrow We Sail can nestle comfortably into, but that seems like an almost defeatist attitude for a band who have got the chops to produce something really quite wonderful. "

God Is In The TV, Review of The Common Fire EP, February 2011

"This slow-burning band's music takes a while to get into its listener's mind, but once there remains on it for days."

Pennyblack Music, Review of The Common Fire EP, December 2010

"...seriously impressive terraced dynamics and structures which almost seem to be miniature studies in writing resourcefully for small ensembles"

Leeds Music Scene, Live Review, September 2010

"Definitely a must see... the whole room seemed to come together in one big musical trance"
